As a highly sensitive person, I’ve noticed that my emotions have been all over the place this week and I’ve felt a strong heaviness in my chest.
Your body is always sending you signals to let you know when something is “off.” Perhaps you’re afraid to express your feelings, have a difficult conversation, or take some action that pushes you out of your comfort zone.

I can relate. I used to do it all the time. It just felt so much easier than actually having to deal with the deep pain that I was feeling.
Overindulging with food, drinks, or Netflix may provide a temporary fix, but the heaviness you feel in your chest, or tightness in your throat will always come back.
Recently, I’ve struggled with setting healthy boundaries with my ex and communicating how I’ve felt disrespected.
I hate conflict and avoid it like the plague.
However, I’ve noticed that when I find the courage to have the difficult conversation that I’ve been avoiding or take action on something that I’ve been putting off due to fear, I immediately feel lighter.
The weight is lifted.
It always surprises me how I feel such instant relief.
